By Asst. Chief Danny Beauvais
June 17, 2014

Last night's Shepherds conducted June's monthly training of LZ operations. This class was conducted by Med Center Air's very own Tera Leach. Members who attended learned various key points in regards to what they need to remember and important information to relay when faced with a call where a helicopter has been called to the scene. Topics ranged from: Location of power lines, obstructions around the LZ location, walking the LZ area & key components to how the helicopter is operated. After about a one hour power point presentation members then went out to the field behind the station for the arrival of Med Center Air. Once on the ground crew members and the pilot on board where able to answer any questions the members had along with a up close and personal tour of the aircraft. Shepherds would like to thank Tera Leach and the Med Center Air crew for a very informative and eye opening class as we frequently use their services.
