| Shepherds Fire-Rescue would like to congratulate PT Engineer Andy "Elvis" Williams on his retirement which will be official on December 19th 2014. Engineer Williams has been on Charlotte Fire Department for 22 years and within that time frame has served the citizens to the best of his ability. Engineer Williams began his career at Station 9 but then moved on to Station 8 formerly known as "Double Trouble" which housed Engine's 8 & 64. Williams who rode Engine 64 remained there for 17 years as a FF2 where he was able to fight and see many many MANY fires and countless other emergency calls for service. In 2010 Williams decided to take the Engineer's assessment test and was later on promoted to Engineer of Engine 21 off of Little Rock Rd. We wish Engineer Williams the best on his future life endeavors. But without missing a beat he will continue to serve the community of Shepherds as he will remain an Engineer for the daytime staff. Congratulations ELVIS!!! |
