MVA Involving Motorcycle With One Flyout

@ 14:55hrs Shepherds and Engine 4 were alerted to a reported MVA involving a motorcycle with 2 patients around the 900 block of Oakridge Farm Hwy. Moments later Rescue 5 & Engine 4 were on the road responding. During response ECOM advised units of 2 patients on the ground and not moving. Upon arrival Of Engine 4 & Rescue 5 care was already being rendered to by Shepherds firefighters Webster, Cherry and off duty Mooresville firefighter L.McKenzie. Engine 4 & Rescue 5 went to work by assisting with providing pt care to both the male & female riders. Witnessed stated the motorcycle had flipped end over end resulting in both patients hitting the ground. After EMS arrived on location ECOM advised of 2 helicopters which were inbound to the scene due to the MOI (Mechanism Of Injury). After EMS arrived and assessed both pt's a second ALS unit was called for one pt while only one helicopter was needed for the other. The LZ was handled by 515 at a nearby field just east of the accident scene. Upon the landing of Med Center Air care was transferred over and all units were assignment complete after about an hour. Good work by all agencies & personnel on location.

**Note: This would be the 1st of 2 calls for service requiring Med-Center Air within 2 hours.
