@ 18:22hrs Shepherds was alerted to assist Troutman on a MVA with injuries involving a motorcycle on I-77NB @ the 45mm. Rescue 5 was out rolling down the road momentarily. Troutman Engine 1 arrived on location minutes later and advised of one motorcyclist down in the road surrounded by bystanders and would be checking on injuries. Shepherds Utility 2 (being manned by the night with Chauffeur Webster on board) was the next unit to arrive followed by Chief 118 (S.Kuhnemann) and Rescue 5. Personnel assisted with pt care and packaging. Upon the arrival of Imed 1 (North-End EMS Supervisor) and a detailed assessment Med-Center Air was cancelled. Once the pt was packaged and loaded for transport all units were assignment complete/available and back in normal service within the hour. Bystanders stated that the motorcyclist was weaving in and out of traffic at a high rate of speed before laying the cycle down in the interstate. This was Shepherds 5th call for service with a local medical dispatched just 13 minutes prior.
