Rescue/Marine 5 Respond To Assist Lake Norman

@ 22:29hrs Shepherds was alerted to assist Lake Norman FD with a boat accident north of Goat Hill Rd near the McCrary Creek Access. Shortly after dispatch Chief 1100 (A.Weatherman) was responding to Goat Hill Rd. ECOM advised units that there could possibly be up to 5 PI (Personal injury) per the caller. Shepherds responded Rescue 5 with (4) along with Brush 1 to respond to station # 2 to pickup Marine 5. Rescue 5 arrived at the boat access point just in time to see Mooresville Fire Marine 1 with Engine 5 personnel on board heading out to the location given and got in preparation for assisting EMS and rescue personnel with possible pt care along with getting Marine 5 in the water. Upon arrival of Marine 5 same was backed in Lake Norman and also enroute to assist led by Capt 550 (J.Craver). Once fire boats began arriving in the vicinity of the accident they could not locate a boat accident. After about 30 minutes the accident was found to be in Catawba county and units over there were able to handle. All Shepherds units were assignment complete at 23:10hrs.
