 <![CDATA[With the southern portion of Iredell County recieving an inch of snow and temperatures around the low 20's road conditions weren't up to par for the early morning commuters. Shepherds along with Mooresville Engine 4 were alerted to a MVA with one overturned with a possible entrapment at Cornelius Rd &amp;amp; I-77 Bridge.&nbsp;Ladder 1 and Rescue 5 responded on the run within minutes after dispatch. While responding ECOM advised units that the party involved was a fellow FF and that he had self extricated himself from the vehicle and that there would be no injuries. Shepherds 535 (Conley) arrived on the scene and confirmed same. Ladder 1 &amp;amp; Rescue 5 arrived to investigate for any leaks or hazards. With all searches proving negative Ladder 1 was released and Rescue 5 remained on the scene for SHP as 561 (Beauvais) established Cornelius Rd command. It was found to be that a large sheet of black ice was on the bridge resulting in the accident. Command had NCDOT advised and before units cleared a salt truck came by and de-iced same. All units were assignment complete within 2 hours.

Iredell County 3502 (Emergency Management Coordinator) arrived on the scene and advised he had a passenger sedan on its top and would be checking on injuries. Mooresville Ladder 1 and Shepherds Rescue 5 were out the door after dispatch. 3502 advised ECOM&nbsp;he had one patient with minor injuries who had self extricated themselves out of the vehicle. Shepherds 521 (Conley) arrived on scene and established command. Responding units arrived on the scene to investigate for any leaks or hazards.  	<title>Tanker 1 Responds To Mt.Mourne Fully Involved Trailer Fire</title>

 <![CDATA[Shortly after noon the pre-alert was sounded alerting Mt.Mourne, Shepherds &amp;amp;&nbsp;South Iredell to a possible house fire on Faith Rd. Due to there proxmity of the location given Mooresville Engine 3 (riding in reserve Engine 6)&nbsp;added themselves on the run.&nbsp;3A (Clontz) advised he had heavy&nbsp;black smoke visible from Sheares Rd.&nbsp;Shepherds Tanker 1 was out the door within 2 minutes after dispatch. Mooresville Engine 3 arrived on the scene and advised he had a fully involved trailer and that they would be going defensive. Mooresville Battalion 1 (Hess)&nbsp;arrived and assumed Faith Rd command. Mt.Mourne Engine 2 arrived and assisted with extinguishment. South Iredell&nbsp;Engine 2 and Shepherds Tanker 1 arrived at the same time and assisted with water supply operations. A&nbsp;control time was given within 15 minutes and command held only Mt.Mourne &amp;amp; Mooresville Fire units for the remainder of the incident. All Shepherds units were back in service within 1 hour.

 <![CDATA[Shepherds fire along with Mooresville Engine 2 were dispatched to a mva with injuries at Mariner Pointe Ln&nbsp; and River Hwy with one possibly on fire. Chief 510 (Barrier)&nbsp;arrived on scene and advised he had 1 passenger van not on fire with 2&nbsp;PI (Personal Injury)&nbsp;Shepherds Engine 2 and&nbsp;Mooresville Engine 2&nbsp;arrived and assisted with pt care. Upon further investigation the other subject involved was found shortly in Catawba County and apprehended by the local PD. Upon arrival of&nbsp;EMS pt. care was transferred both patients were loaded and packaged for transport&nbsp;to the local hospital.&nbsp;All units were assignment complete.

 <![CDATA[Troutman Fire was disptached to a MVA with injuries around the 600 block of Weathers Creek Rd. After dispatch Chief 100 advised ECOM that would be in Shepherds first due but his units would still continue on. Shepherds Rescue 5 Mooresville Engine 4 and Shepherds Engine 1 were all enroute minutes after dispatch. Shepherds Rescue 5 led by Chief&nbsp;510 (Barrier)&nbsp;arrived on the scene and advised&nbsp;he had one passenger sedan that had rolled&nbsp;and the patients were&nbsp;already out&nbsp;of the vehicle.&nbsp;Troutman Engine 2 arrived shortly after and assisted with patient care. Command advised Engine 4 they could go available and had Shepherds Engine 1 standby the other end of the road to assist with traffic control. 2 patients were loaded and packaged for transport to the local hospital. All units were assignment complete scene turned over to NCSHP.

 	<title>3 Car MVA With Entrapment x 2</title>

 <![CDATA[A storm had just passed as dense fog began to settle through out areas in Iredell County when the pre-alert sounded alerting Shepherds Fire and Mooresville Engine 4 for a MVA&nbsp;reported head on around the 2000 block of Statesville Hwy. Mooresville Engine 4 arrived on scene and advised he had a 3 car mva confirming the head on collision and would be checking on PI (Personal Injury) shortly. Shepherds Rescue 5 checked enroute and was on scene within minutes behind E4. 4A (Capt.Brawley) came back and advised ECOM he had 2 critical patients both entrapped and for ECOM to check on flight status and to add Mooresville Engine 1 (Manpower)&nbsp;on the call to assist. Crews on scene began working to free both patients. Due to weather conditions all flight services were grounded. It took about 10-15min to free the passenger and about 30-45min for the driver who&nbsp;once were free were transferred over to EMS&nbsp;personnel for further evaluation. Both patients were&nbsp;transported by ground to the&nbsp;nearest medical facility. Units stayed on the scene to assist NCSHP&nbsp;with investigation.

 <![CDATA[Shepherds along with Mooresville Engine 4 were alerted to a reported mva w/rollover at the intersection of Bluefield &amp;amp; Cornelius Rd. Shepherds Engine 2, Rescue 5, &amp;amp; Mooresville Engine 4 were all responding within minutes after dispatch. Shepherds 521 (Conley) arrived on location and advised he had one vehicle resting on its side against a power pole and that both parties had self extricated. All 3 responding units arrived on scene at the same time and investigated for any hazards. Both parties involved stated that they were fine and did not need EMS. Command was transferred to Chief 516 (Phillips) and Mooresville Engine 4 was cut loose. Shepherds units stayed on scene until NCSHP and the local wrecker service arrived to remove the vehicle. During the process one lucky citizen who just couldn't wait in traffic decided to take it upon herself to go around traffic and make her own route, was chased down by the NCSHP unit on scene and received a very lucky (Cause SHP doesn't normally do those) warning for her efforts.  <![CDATA[Shepherds was dispatched to assist Troutman with a motor vehicle accident on I-77 NB around the 42mm. Within minutes Shepherds Rescue 5 and Engine 2 were both responding. Upon arrival of Troutman Engine 1 they advised they had one suv which indeed had rolled and that command was established. After further investigation they then advised they had one confirmed entrapment. Shepherds Engine 2 arrived shortly after along with Rescue 5 to assist. Due to the mechanism of injury CMC's helicopter was requested for the occupant in the vehicle. The patient was freed within 15 minutes to awaiting EMS personnel care. Upon the arrival of CMC&nbsp;pt was loaded and packaged for transport to Charlotte. Scene was turned over to NCSHP and all Troutman and Shepherds units were assignment complete.  <![CDATA[With the temperatures in the mid 20's and decending, ECOM sounded the good ol turkey gobble pre-alert, alerting South Iredell, Mount Mourne &amp;amp;&nbsp;Shepherds for a reported garage fire with multiple calls on same. A South Iredell volunteer radioed in that he had heavy smoke in that area while enroute thus sounding a working fire. Shepherds Tanker 1 responded on the run with 4 volunteers in the car for additional manpower. South Iredell 1200 (Chief) and there Engine 1 checked on the scene with smoke and fire conditons showing and went to work. Shepherds Tanker 1 arrived and assisted with supplying water to the engine for suppression efforts. Shepherds C51 arived and assisted with manpower. Once same was controlled and extinguished Command held only South Iredell units. Shepherds was back in service&nbsp;within an hour and a half.&nbsp;So far Shepherds has responded to&nbsp;various incidents including: Setting up a LZ for a local medical in the area, and a working house fire assisting&nbsp;Troutman with&nbsp;only 3 days into the new year.&nbsp;

 <![CDATA[A couple hours after assisting Troutman with an MVA&nbsp;the tones were dropped again but this time to respond on a reported working mobile home fire on Marlowe Lane. Shepherds Tanker 1 led by Chief 510 (Barrier) responded on the run. While enroute ECOM alerted units that they were receiving reports that smoke and flames could be seen coming from same. Troutman Engine 2 arrived and reported they indeed had smoke and flames showing and that they were going to work. Shepherds Tanker 1 arrived a short time later and assisted with water supply and manpower. A&nbsp;control time was given within 20 minutes. Shepherds stayed on scene to assist with checking for extension and overhaul. Once complete Command (Chief 100) released Tanker 1 and all units were back in service within the hour.
