By Asst Chief Danny Beauvais
November 6, 2014

@ 17:01hrs Shepherds Fire along with Mooresville Engine 4 were alerted to a reported vehicle fire around the 1600 block of Charlotte Hwy. Shepherds Engine 2 along with Mooresville Engine 4 were responding to the location given moments later. During response ECOM advised units they would indeed have a working fire. Shepherds Engine 2 with Chief 510 (R.Stutts riding the seat) arrived mintues later to confirm same. Chief Stutts pulled the 1' 3/4 front bumper line and began suppression efforts. Upon arrival of Engine 4 the crew on board provided additional manpower for extinguishment followed by overhaul. A control time was issued a short time later as units awaited for the next rotation wrecker to arrive before going available.

** Side Note: Shepherds Asst Chief Beauvais would like to apologize to any student or FF who showed up for the PPE Class held at MMFD tonight (11/6/14). There was some confusion on my part regarding the dates and this issue has been corrected. Thanks for your understanding. **
